There's A Little Bit of Heaven

There’s a little bit of heaven in the warmth within a smile,
in the sunlight shining brightly and in the devotion of a child.
There’s a little bit of heaven in the wisdom that inspires,
in the dawning of a new day and in our innermost desires.

There’s a little bit of heaven in a shady sheltering tree,
in knowing life’s forever and in the truth that sets us free.
There’s a little bit of heaven in the blossoming of spring,
in the turning of the leaves and when you hear a bluebird sing.

There are little bits of heaven that often times appear,
these little bits of heaven make life easier to bear.
When we get to heaven we will surely want to send,
a little bit of heaven to our families and friends.

There’s a little bit of heaven in a color filled rainbow,
in the moonlight on the bay and in a mighty river’s flow.
There’s a little bit of heaven in the budding of a flower,
in the twinkling of the stars and in a rainbowed April shower.

There’s a little bit of heaven in a four part harmony,
in the solitude of silence and in a haunting melody.
There’s a little bit of heaven in the friendship that we share,
in the peace of understanding, the awakenings of prayer.

There are little bits of heaven that often times appear,
